His goal for this site was to assist everyone who was surfing the internet in finding people whom they have known during previous times. The title of the site has its own implications, but many people have appreciated the introduction of this service to link up with former classmates in all levels. There are currently 40 million people who are linked to classmates.com.

Other sites followed, including SixDegrees.com, and epinions.com. As people connected their households and have access to the internet, these sites and others that followed were more and more frequented. People were given more options in design and content to express themselves. Eventually other sites, MySpace in particular, made significant waves through a good number of people, even celebrities.
